Who Qualifies for SETSS?

All of our students qualify for an Individual Education Service Plan, IESP, with a learning disability. In a private school setting, the student's regular teacher can refer the parent or guardian to the relevant office of the Committee on Special Education for an evaluation by a school psychologist, speech-language pathologist, or remedial reading teacher. The student usually qualifies when the student does not achieve adequately or meet State-approved grade-level standards in one or more areas, when provided with learning experiences and instruction appropriate for the child’s age or State-approved grade–level standards.
